November 3, 2009 - Lindsay Miller named 1st-team All-AMC; Molly Saltino named 3rd-team; Marisa Alfieri, Jessica Hutton, Nicole Mottola, & Alicia Vasiloff are honorable-mention

Lindsay Miller was named 1st-team All-AMC in the all-conference selections released today. Molly Saltino was a 3rd-team selection while Marisa Alfieri, Jessica Hutton, Nicole Mottola, and Alicia Vasiloff were named honorable-mention.

Miller (Pocono Lake, PA/ Pocono Mountain West HS), a sophomore midfielder, had three goals and one assist. Two of her three goals were game-winning goals. Miller is only the second female soccer player at Daemen to earn a 1st-team all-conference selection.

Saltino (Tonawanda, NY/ Kenmore West HS) is senior and was one of the league's top defensive players. She scored one goal this year which was a game-tying goal in the last minute against Roberts Wesleyan.

Alfieri (Rochester, NY/ Aquinas HS), a sophomore goalkeeper, had six shutouts and a 1.37 GAA. Hutton (Hilton, NY/ Hilton HS) was one of the team's top midfielder. The sophomore had two goals including the game-winner against Walsh. Mottola (Hamburg, NY/ Frontier HS) is a talented freshman who scored two goals while being one of the team's best defensive players. Vasiloff (East Syracuse, NY/ Minoa HS) was the team leader in both goals (5) and assists (4). The sophomore now has 13 goals for her two-year career.
